High School Students of the Month - April 2026
Congratulations to Pioneer Superlatives Asha Lindskog and Margo Nyn, and to Portrait of a Pioneer award winners Aidan Waters and Gabi Ramos!

Lampeter-Strasburg teachers selected a student from each grade to be named the April 2026 Students of the Month. Freshman Asha Lindskog and sophomore Margo Nyn are the month’s Pioneer Superlatives - students committed to personal and academic growth - while junior Aidan Waters and senior Gabi Ramos are standard bearers for L-S students as Portrait of a Pioneer award winners.
Pioneer Superlatives
Asha Lindskog - Asha is a freshman and the daughter of Gregg and Nivedita Lindskog of Willow Street. She’s a top academic student who was nominated by the Spanish department for diligence, motivation, and confidence in learning Spanish. Asha is very active in extracurriculars at LSHS, including Pioneer Interact Club, Drama Club, Marching Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Orchestra, Graduation Orchestra, Model UN, Pioneer Pageturners, the Spring Musical, and WSLH. A distinguished honor roll student, she’s also the winner of two Martin Meylin Student of the Month awards and two Burrowes Scholar awards. Outside of school, Asha works at Kitchen Kettle Village and enjoys singing, acting, and reading. She has plans to pursue a career in the medical field, preferably as a neurosurgeon.
Marharyta Nyn - Margo is a sophomore and the daughter of Anastasiia Nyn of Willow Street. As a recent arrival to L-S from Ukraine, Margo was nominated for her positive attitude and willingness to learn, even as she translates her work between English and Russian. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the guitar, playing volleyball, DIY crafts, and art, and is actively learning how to knit, sew, cook, and play the piano. Margo would like to pursue a career in medicine, programming, or digital arts after high school.
Portrait of a Pioneer
Aidan Waters - Aidan is a junior and the son of James and Kathryn Waters of Lancaster. He was nominated for his work in restarting the LSHS Philosophy Club, which he did in the same thoughtful, mature manner that he brings to his classes. Besides being a founding member of the new Philosophy Club, Aidan is active at school in the Cultures Club, Model UN, National Honor Society, and the esports team. He enjoys video games, music, and a variety of traditional and digital art, including 3D modeling and video essays. Aidan is unsure of his path after high school, but is interested in teaching, psychology, and STEM fields.
Gabi Ramos - Gabi is the daughter of OJ and Michelle Ramos of Lancaster. The art department nominated her as a talented student with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, always willing to help others. Outside of the art room, Gabi is involved at school as a Link Crew Leader, a member of the National Art Honor Society, a winter cheerleader, and a member of the girls' lacrosse team. She also volunteers at church and spends time outside of school on her artwork. Gabi plans to attend St. Joseph’s University to study nuclear imaging.
