For the second consecutive year, senior Mia LaFontaine earned a seat in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Festival, held this year from January 10-11 at Boiling Springs High School. In addition to performing at the festival, she successfully auditioned for a spot in the 15-county Region V Chorus Festival, which will be held February 19-20 at Warwick High School. This will also be Mia's second appearance at the regional level.

A formidable vocalist who starred as Donna in last year’s production of Mamma Mia!, Mia soon can be seen as Hope Cladwell in the upcoming LSHS musical, Urinetown. The show runs from March 5-7 at the Performing Arts Center.

Mia was joined by eight fellow L-S vocalists at the 2025-2026 Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association (LLMEA) Honors Festival, held Saturday, January 3, at Hempfield High School. These students were selected by choral directors from across the two counties for their vocal excellence. Notably, every student honored is also a member of the cast or pit orchestra for the upcoming spring musical.
