Congratulations to junior Reagan Miller, who joined PA State Rep. Steven Mentzer in Philadelphia for a historic America250PA celebration!

Reagan earned her spot as Rep. Mentzer’s student guest by writing a winning essay on the significance of America’s 250th birthday and her vision for "What I Want in the Future." She chose to write about the importance of helping women achieve a better work-life balance.

On September 9, Reagan joined high school students and state representatives from across Pennsylvania’s 203 House districts in Philadelphia for a full day of historical exploration and civic engagement. The group toured landmarks like Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Museum of the American Revolution, and helped open a 1976 student time capsule. Reagan and her peers contributed their own letters to be sealed and reopened 50 years from now, in 2076.

The group also spent time at Congress Hall, where the U.S. Congress met from 1790 to 1800, and students watched as the Pennsylvania House of Representatives convened a special Legislative Session.

We are so proud of Reagan for representing our school and community at this once-in-a-lifetime event!
