Ten Lampeter-Strasburg High School students will vie for the title of Queen at a contest on opening night of the 102nd West Lampeter Community Fair. The candidates, chosen as representatives of LSHS extracurricular clubs, will compete in two rounds of questions before judges select five finalists for the third and final round. The public competition follows interviews conducted earlier in the day by the Fair Queen Committee. The winner and alternate will be crowned by 2025 West Lampeter Fair Queen Brooke Rubincam (Class of 2026) and alternate Carla Mann (Class of 2027).
On Wednesday, September 23, The festivities begin with a parade departing from the high school at 7 p.m. and proceeding to the fairgrounds via Village Road. The contest will start promptly at 7:30 p.m. We wish the best of luck to all of this year’s contestants!
2026 West Lampeter Fair Queen Candidates
Amaya Charles - Amaya is a senior and the daughter of Christine Grammtico and Dean Charles of Strasburg. She will represent Pioneer Interact Club, the school’s volunteer and service organization. Senior Trent Breneman, son of Holly Breneman of Strasburg, will escort Amaya.
Bethany Cummings - Bethany is a junior and the daughter of Robert and Holly Cummings of Lancaster. She will represent Student Council. Senior Derrick Sprout, son of Derrick and Becky Sprout of Lancaster, will escort Bethany.
Ashlyn Donaldson - Ashlyn is a junior and the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Donaldson of Lancaster. She will represent the Class of 2028. Junior Gavin Gallagher, son of Bernie and Kate Gallagher, will escort Ashlyn.
Ashlynn Frey - Ashlynn is a junior and the daughter of Renee Weaver of Lancaster. She will represent the Garden Spot FFA. Senior Landon Giberson, son of Steve and Abby Giberson of Strasburg, will escort Ashlynn.
Evelyn Kennel - Evelyn is a senior and the daughter of Nate and Terah Kennel of Lancaster. She will represent Link Crew, the school’s 9th-grade orientation and mentorship program. Senior Canaan Rohrer, son of Travis and Jenna Rohrer of Lampeter, will escort Evelyn.
Dasia Kenyon - Dasia is a senior and the daughter of Teishonna and Tommy Kenyon of Lancaster. She will represent the L-S Band Program. Junior Elliot Holmes, son of Nathan Cottrell and Julie Waters of Willow Street, will escort Dasia.
Madelyn Knudsen - Madelyn is a senior and the daughter of Steven and Bonnie Knudsen of Lancaster. She will represent the Scrubs Club, the school’s nursing club. Senior Hadrien Odie, son of Susana and Eddie Odie of Lampeter, will escort Madelyn
Hannah Lapp - Hannah is a junior and the daughter of Jay and Becca Lapp of Strasburg. Hannah will represent the LSHS National Art Honor Society (NAHS). Junior Peyton Smith, son of Tyler Smith and Lynnsey Myers, will escort Hannah.
Lilah Schwartz - Lilah is a senior and the daughter of Tyler and Jennifer Schwartz of Lancaster. She will represent the LSHS National Honor Society (NHS). Senior Nicholas Capoferri, son of Jeff and Sarah Capoferri of Willow Street, will escort Lilah
Norah Steffy - Norah is a junior and the daughter of Austin and Elizabeth Steffy of Lancaster. She will represent the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS). Junior Luke Moyer, son of Bryan and Elisabeth Moyer of Lampeter, will escort Norah.
