Kalasinsky Wins Martin Meylin Spelling Bee

Before the holidays, middle school students showcased their spelling abilities in the annual Martin Meylin Spelling Bee. Congratulations to winner Avery Kalasinsky, and runners-up Sophia Coon, Gabby Edwards, Amari Allen, and Margot Pick! The four top spellers will now take written tests to determine if they qualify for the Central PA Spelling Bee, and the winner of that competition will earn the chance to compete in the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
