Junior/Senior Prom Returns

LSHS juniors and seniors enjoyed a beautiful evening out at the Country Barn for prom, where seniors Weston Weaver and Brooke Smith were voted Prom King and Queen. Many continued the night back at school with a Hollywood-themed Post Prom.

Juniors and seniors enjoyed a beautiful evening out at the Country Barn for prom, where seniors Weston Weaver and Brooke Smith were voted Prom King and Queen. Many continued the night back at school with a Hollywood-themed Post Prom. Thank you to everyone who worked to make this special evening a success!

Prom Court

Teachers selected 14 seniors to make up the 2022 prom court, and voting took place at prom.

Prom Queen Candidates

Mariah Beiler is a member of NHS, Madrigals, the Spring Musical cast, student council, Tri-M, and L-S Thespian Society. She’s a member of the Willow Street Mennonite youth group, serves on her church worship team, and enjoys running and backpacking. Mariah plans to take a gap year in Costa Rica to study Spanish and ministry.

Roudenie Francklin is a member of WLSH, scrub club, Interact, student council, and chorus. She also loves dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Roudenie plans to attend a four-year college in the fall, most likely City College of New York. She loves languages and plans to study abroad to speak Spanish and Portuguese fluently by the time she graduates.

Ella Horst is the senior school board representative, a marching band drum major, and a member of the Madrigals, concert choir, full orchestra, jazz band, concert band, Tri-M, NHS, and the varsity girls basketball team. She works at Meck’s produce, services on her church worship team, attends youth group, and enjoys cooking, baking, and outdoor activities. Ella will attend Eastern University to pursue a degree in nursing and hopefully will work in labor and delivery someday.

Ermine Jacques is the 2022 Class President and a member of National Honor Society and Interact Club. She will be attending Howard University and majoring in criminology on a pre-law track.

Cassie Meck is President of Tri-M, Vice President of Thespian Society, Secretary of Spanish Club, and a member of Interact, Varsity Club, and Inter-club Council, Spring Musicals, Concert and Jazz band, Concert choir, Madrigal singers, PMEA (county, district, regional, state) choir, and the varsity softball team. She attends Strasburg Mennonite church where she is Chorister, on the worship team, and is a part of  the youth group. Casie plans to further her education and pursue musical performance and Spanish. 

Hollyn Miller is the president of Spanish Club, Tri-M secretary, NHS treasurer, and a member of chorus, Madrigals, orchestra, Art Club, the Spring Musical cast, and the varsity cross country team. She plans to attend Eastern Mennonite University to major in psychology and art.

Brooke Smith is the treasurer of Tri-M, the co-treasurer of Asian Cultures Club, the secretary of Thespian Society, and a member of NHS, Interact, Varsity Club, school, county, district, and regional chorus, Madrigals, the spring musical cast, High School Heroes, student council, and the varsity volleyball team. She is also part of the youth group at Lancaster Church of the Brethren. Brooke plans to attend West Chester University to major in elementary education.

Prom King Candidates

Payton Cunningham is a member of Varsity Club and the varsity football team. He is planning to attend Stevenson University to play football and major in elementary education. 

Gehrig Harsh is a member of the inter-club council, prom committee, Varsity Club, and the varsity golf, bowling, and baseball teams. He is still undecided about his future plans. 

Beau Heyser is a member of National Honor Society, Varsity Club, and the varsity football team. He will be attending East Stroudsburg University to study criminal justice. 

Giovanni Malatesta is a member of the varsity baseball and football teams. He will be attending Washington College to study business and communications and play baseball. He aspires to own a gym and become a personal trainer. 

Nate Romero is a member of National Honor Society, chorus, Madrigals, Mini-THON, Quiz Bowl, Art Club, Tri-M, and Thespian Society. He will be attending Penn State in the fall to major in biology and minor in Spanish.

Berkeley Wagner is a member of the High School Heroes, Inter-club Council, Ski & Snowboard Club, and the varsity football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. He plans to attend Susquehanna University to study business management and play football. 

Weston Weaver is the Thespian Society president, varsity tennis team captain, and a member of NHS, the fall play and spring musical casts, Madrigals and chorus, singing Valentines, High School Heroes, Inter-club Council, and the varsity football team. He plans to attend Penn State University to study industrial engineering.
