Gianna Fasano Wins Congressional Art Competition
Senior Gianna Fasano's artwork will be shown in the U.S. Capitol as the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for PA-11.
As the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Pennsylvania's 11th District, senior Gianna Fasano's artwork will be displayed for an entire year in the highly traveled Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol. This prominent location, the main access point between the U.S. House of Representatives and the Capitol, ensures that her artwork will be admired by Members of Congress, distinguished visitors, and tens of thousands of tourists from across the United States and abroad.
Gianna's compelling artwork features a powerful portrayal of three Indigenous women, skillfully painted onto the covers of American Heritage books. This thought-provoking piece offers a unique and significant commentary on history, identity, and representation. Her artistic vision and technical skill allowed her to create a work that is both visually striking and deeply meaningful, setting it apart in this prestigious competition.
