Congratulations to the 2025 Lampeter-Strasburg High School Prom King, Alex Johanning, and Prom Queen, Chloe Meck!
Congratulations to the 2025 Prom Court! Students will vote, and the King and Queen will be announced on Saturday, April 26, during the Junior/Senior Prom at the Doubletree Lancaster.
Prom Queen Candidates
Chloe Bucher - Chloe is the daughter of Coley and Lori Bucher of Lancaster. She is a member of the Varsity Club and the girl's soccer team and plans to attend West Chester University to play soccer and major in nursing.
Laela Gipe - Laela is the daughter of Shawn and Allyson Gipe of Lancaster. She is President of Scrubs Club, Co-President of Sisterhood Club, Secretary of Student Council, field hockey manager, and a member of National Honor Society, Mini-THON Committee, STEM Club, Inter-club Council, Link Crew, and the High School Heroes. She works at Meadia Heights Golf Course and enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and spending time outside. Laela plans to attend Auburn University to major in nursing and minor in Spanish.
Rachael Mann - Rachael is the daughter of Justin and Holly Mann of Willow Street. She is the Varsity Club co-president, Model UN Secretary, and a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Link Crew, Ski and Snowboard Club, and the Inter-Club Council. Rachael plans to attend Penn State at University Park next year.
Chloe Meck - Chloe is the daughter of Robert and Shannon Meck of Strasburg. She is a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, Varsity Club, and the varsity softball team, and is also involved at Strasburg Mennonite Church and its youth group. Chloe is planning to work at her family’s business after graduation and is excited to see what God has planned for her in the upcoming years.
Molly Nauman - Molly is the daughter of Andrew and Shelby Nauman of Willow Street. She is the Varsity Club Co-President and a member of the Mini-THON Committee, STEM Club, Sisterhood Club, Pioneer Interact Club, High School Heroes, National Honor Society, and the soccer team. Molly works at Willow Valley and enjoys spending time with friends and hiking. She plans to attend Penn State main campus and is currently undecided about her major.
Madison Puleo - Maddie is the daughter of Richard and Lorraine Puleo of Lancaster. She is a Varsity Club officer, the varsity girls lacrosse captain, and a member of the Mini-THON Committee, Student Council, Scrubs Club, Ski & Snowboard Club, Model UN, Link Crew, Pioneer Interact Club, Dance Club, and the varsity volleyball team. Maddie plans to attend Lebanon Valley College for a 3+2 exercise science and athletic training major, also minoring in nutrition and playing lacrosse.
Annaliese Sauve - Annaliese is the daughter of Paul and Kristin Sauve of Lancaster. She is the Mock Trial President, Model UN Vice President, Pioneer Interact Club Secretary, National Honor Society Co-President, and a member of Student Council, Inter-Club Council, Mini-THON Committee, Link Crew, and the High School Heroes. She plans to attend Dusquene University to double major in political science and psychology and minor in pre-law.
Chloe Stone - Chloe is the daughter of Stephen and Jennifer Stone of Lancaster. She is a member of Varsity Club, Student Council, Mini-THON Committee, Pioneer Interact Club, Link Crew, and the High School Heroes. Chloe plans to attend Eastern University to major in psychology and minor in criminal justice, aspiring to be a criminal profiler.
Prom King Candidates
Devin Aponte - Devin is the son of Erik and Stephanie Aponte of Lancaster. He is a member of the Varsity Club and the baseball team and plans to attend Messiah University next year to continue his academic and athletic careers.
James Appelgrijn - James is the son of Frederick and Rhiannon Appelgrijn of Strasburg. He is a member of the Drama Club, Concert Choir, Inter-Club Council, Pioneer Page Turners Book Club, WLSH, Afternoon Announcements, National Honors Society, High School Heroes, Fellowship of Christian Students, Link Crew, and the Cultures Club and his interests include reading, writing, acting, singing, and filmmaking. James plans to attend Penn State main campus to pursue a major in English and minors in film, theater, and potentially creative writing.
Emory Fluhr - Emory is the son of Michael Fluhr of Lancaster. He is a member of National Honor Society and the football and basketball teams and plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh, where he’ll major in engineering and will walk onto the football team.
Truman Horst - Truman is the son of Clifford and Roselle Horst of Lancaster. He is a member of Marching Band, Link Crew, High School Heroes, Jazz Band, and the Fellowship of Christian Students and plans to attend Messiah University to major in data science.
Alex Johanning - Alex is the son of Tim and Lisa Johanning of Lancaster. He is a football manager/assistant coach, and a member of the Pioneer Interact Club and the track & field team. He also helps his father by volunteering at Gigi’s Playhouse. Alex plans to attend Millersville University to study music entertainment for integrated studies and looks forward to continuing to love life, be active, and have fun.
Michael Lau - Michael is the son of Dominic and Meg Lau of Strasburg. He is a member of Link Crew, High School Heroes, and National Honor Society and plans to attend Dickinson College next year.
Preston Schonour - Preston is the son of Craig and Jennifer Schonour of Willow Street. He is the Senior Class President, the Model UN President, and a member of High School Heroes, Link Crew, National Honor Society, and the football team. Preston will be attending The College of William & Mary in the fall.
Carson Zook - Carson is the son of Randell and Lori Zook of Willow Street. He is the Senior Class Treasurer, National Honor Society Secretary, STEM Club Chief Science Officer, and a member of the Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Modern Band. Carson is also active as part of his church worship team and youth group. He plans to attend Grove City College to study mechanical engineering and play football.
