Fifty-two members of the Class of 2024 received a total of 84 awards and scholarships at this year's Senior Awards Night.

The 2024 Senior Award Winners

The 2024 Lampeter-Strasburg High School Senior Awards Night was held on Thursday, May 16, in the LSHS Performing Arts Center. Fifty-two seniors received 84 awards from local benefactors, businesses, and L-S adjacent groups. Congratulations to all of our Class of 2024 award and scholarship winners!  

 

Sydney Albright  - Sydney is the recipient of the Willow Valley Associates Hospitality and the L-S Agriculture Department Excellency Award. She will attend the County College of Morris to study Culinary Arts.

Alex An - Alex is the recipient of the G.R. Mitchell Community Service Award. He will attend college to study pre-med. 

Braden Bauer - Braden is the recipient of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan.

Alicia Bennethum - Alicia is the recipient of the Strasburg Elementary PTO Award, a Gene Snyder Memorial Scholarship, and a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan. She will attend Penn State University to study architectural engineering. 

Sean Bennicas - Sean is the recipient of the Rae Ann Henry Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Pennsylvania College of Technology to study aviation. 

Sarah Blount - Sarah is the recipient of the Grimm Agriculture Award. She will attend Howard University to study political science. 

Hannah Cissne - Hannah is the recipient of the Ryan N. Smith Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Lynn University to study biology.

Carson Coleman - Carson is the recipient of the Forever a Pioneer: Dr. Robert A. Frick Scholarship. He will attend Millersville University to study Spanish education. 

Rebekah deJesus - Rebekah is the recipient of the Janice Seldomridge Memorial Award. She will attend Millersville University and is undecided about her major. 

Gabriella Denlinger - Gabriella is the recipient of the Ethel M. Speros Memorial Award. She will attend East Carolina University to study nursing. 

Jeimy Elvira-Paredes - Jeimy is the recipient of an Outstanding Music Award. She will take a gap year before starting college. 

Jennifer Eshleman - Jennifer is the recipient of the Willow Street Lions Club Health or Community Service Scholarship. She will attend Millersville University to study pre-occupational therapy. 

Aiden Flory - Aiden is the recipient of an Outstanding Music Award. He will attend Penn State University and is undecided about his major.  

Drexton Frank - Drexton is the recipient of a Hall of Fame Award. He will attend Towson University to study secondary education. 

Justin Gouger - Justin is the recipient of a Lampeter-Strasburg Youth Soccer Award, the Matthew R. Conrad Memorial Scholarship, an Outstanding Music Award, the Rick Gieniec Memorial Award, and the Strasburg Borough Service Award. He will attend Drexel University to study architecture. 

Talia Hall - Talia is the recipient of the Lampeter-Strasburg Administrators’ Scholarship, the Lampeter-Strasburg PTO Award, and an Outstanding Music Award. She will attend Millersville University to study English Education for grades 7-12. 

Bethany Helms - Bethy is the recipient of an L-S Area Republican Committee Scholarship, the Lampeter-Strasburg Democratic Club Scholarship for Community Involvement, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship, and the Rotary Club of Lancaster South Ralph W. “Buzz” Coho Scholarship. She will attend Geneva College to study secondary education with a focus on history. 

Payton Hillen - Payton is the recipient of the Millersville Auxiliary VFW Post 7294 Medical/Nursing Scholarship Award and a Gene Snyder Memorial Award. She will attend the University of South Carolina to study exercise science.  

Isabella Hirschmann - Isabella is the recipient of the David B. and Kathryn M. Kraybill Scholarship and a Ryan “Whitey” Weitzel Award. She will attend Villanova University to study chemical engineering. 

Natalie Holland - Natalie is the recipient of the Meredith Leigh Demko Diversity Scholarship. She will attend Kutztown University to study biology and pre-med.  

Jack Kelly - Jack is the recipient of the Ainsleigh Kaye Motta Memorial Scholarship and a Lampeter-Strasburg Youth Soccer Award. He will attend Franklin & Marshall College to study biology. 

Noah Kennel - Noah is the recipient of the Henry & Mary Wentz Scholarship in Honor of Dr. Melvin E. Rosier. He will attend Swarthmore College and is undecided about his major. 

Kurt Kessler - Kurt is the recipient of a Gene Snyder Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Rollins College to study business.

Aidan Koser - Aidan is the recipient of the Richard F. Lefever Memorial Award. He will be entering the workforce after graduation.   

Owen Krause - Owen is the recipient of the Southern Lancaster County Chamber Business Scholarship, the Strasburg Ambulance Community Fund Award, and a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan. He will attend Franklin & Marshall College to study biochemistry.

Kole Lawrence - Kole is the recipient of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship, an Outstanding Music Award, and the Vocal Music Award. He will attend Westminster Choir College to study music education. 

Olivia Leed - Olivia is the recipient of the Caroll J. Staub Education Scholarship, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship, and the R.H. Holmberg Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Shippensburg University to study elementary education.  

Ava Leonard - Ava is the recipient of the Strasburg Police Law Enforcement Award. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh to study political science. 

Lauren Livengood - Lauren is the recipient of the Frank A. Wint Memorial Scholarship, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan, an S. Dale High Scholarship, the Scott J. Kimmel Memorial Scholarship, and the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Social Studies Scholarship. She will attend American University to study Communication, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government.

Ezechiel Lukusa - Ezechiel is the recipient of the Strasburg Ambulance Community Fund Award and the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Science Scholarship. He will attend Temple University to study neuroscience.

Louis Malatesta - Louis is the recipient of a Ryan “Whitey” Weitzel Award. He will attend Kutztown University to study political science. 

Ellie Martin - Ellie is the recipient of the James W. & Janice G. Frey Scholarship in Honor of Keith Y. Frey. She will attend technical school to become a dental technician. 

Jaclyn Martin - Jaclyn is a recipient of an L-S Area Republican Committee Scholarship. She is a Pennsylvania FFA State Officer Candidate.

Jacob McClune - Jacob is the recipient of a Pequea Valley Sportsman Association Scholarship. He will attend Lehigh University to study mechanical engineering. 

Kelsey McTaggart - Kelsey is the recipient of a Gene Snyder Athletic Award and the J. Aldus Herr Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Albright College to study sports management. 

Eve Miller - Eve is the recipient of the Willoughby & Associates Future Leader Award. She will attend Millersville University to study social work. 

Devin Miller-Baum - Devin is the recipient of the Tobias Leaman Award. He will enter the workforce after graduation. 

Audrey ONeil - Audrey is the recipient of the Justin Barr Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Virginia Tech to study computational modeling and data analytics. 

Zara Paisley - Zara is a recipient of the Hall of Fame Award. She will attend Penn West Clarion University to study nutrition and fitness. 

Elisabeth Reinhart - Elisabeth is the recipient of the Elizabeth S. Henry Scholarship, a Frank A. Wint Memorial Scholarship, and the Strasburg I.O.O.F Lodge 361 English Scholarship. She will attend Millersville University to study elementary education and art. 

Madeline Ross - Madeline is the recipient of the Creative Arts Award and the Richard F. Lefever Social Studies Award. She will attend George Mason University to study forensic science. 

Haley Sharpe - Haley is the recipient of the Lampeter-Strasburg Women’s Club Geraldine Rapp Educational Scholarship. She will attend Millersville University to study early childhood education. 

Luke Smith - Luke is the recipient of an Outstanding Music Award. He will attend a four-year college to study business.

Terrence Stinson - Terrence Stinson is the recipient of the Live for Today Lacrosse Scholarship. He will attend West Chester University to study business administration. 

Adyson Todd - Adyson is the recipient of the Jessica Rimmer Perseverance Award. She will attend West Chester University to study criminal justice. 

Anthony Turek - Anthony is the recipient of a Pequea Valley Sportsman Association Scholarship, the Todd Garber L-S Baseball Scholarship, and the Garrett Graby Memorial Scholarship for Trade School. He plans to attend technical school.  

Ian Van Deusen - Ian is the recipient of the Ian H. Holmberg Scholarship. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Lillian Weaver - Lillian is the recipient of the Sara Ann (Buckwalter) Bauer ‘59 Scholarship. She plans to take a gap year before attending college to study elementary education. 

Bennett Wehibe - Bennett is the recipient of a Gene Snyder Memorial Award, an S. Dale High Scholarship, the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Mathematics Scholarship, and the Outstanding Senior Award from the Class of 2024. Bennett will attend Cornell University to study engineering. 

Colin Whitaker - Colin is the recipient of a Gene Snyder Athletic Award. He will attend the University of Notre Dame to study business management. 

Ellie Young - Ellie is the recipient of the Lampeter-Strasburg Women’s Club Mom Strubel Award. She will attend Northeastern University to study architecture. 

Matalyn Zook - Matalyn is the recipient of the Abraham Lincoln Award and the Ray Zeigler Memorial Scholarship Award. She will attend Temple University to study art history and business.
