Sixty members of the Class of 2023 won 94 awards at the annual LSHS Senior Awards Night.
The 2023 Senior Award Winners
The 2023 Lampeter-Strasburg High School Senior Awards Night was held on Thursday, May 11, in the LSHS Performing Arts Center. Sixty students received 94 awards from local benefactors, businesses, and L-S adjacent groups. The awards ceremony started with a presentation from Commander Rod Messick of the US Naval Academy for senior Rowan Kimmel. It ended with the announcement of Ricky Gibson as the Outstanding Senior Award recipient.

Rowan Kimmel (3 awards) - Rowan is the winner of the Abraham Lincoln Award, a Frank A. Wint Memorial Scholarship, and a Gene Snyder Athletic Award. She plans to attend the US Naval Academy and is undecided about her course of study.
Hagen Supeck (2 awards) - Hagen is the winner of the Ainsleigh Kaye Motta Memorial Scholarship and the Creative Arts Award. She plans to attend the University of Alabama to study chemistry.
Madison Miller - Madison is the winner of the Carroll J. Staub Education Scholarship. She plans to attend Millersville University to study music education.
Madison Baker (4 awards) - Madison is the winner of the David B. and Kathryn M. Kraybill Scholarship, the Justin Barr Memorial Scholarship, the Lampeter-Strasburg Democratic Club Scholarship for Community Involvement, and an L-S Youth Soccer Association Award. She plans to attend the University of Delaware to study chemistry and biochemistry.
Isaac Horst (2 awards) - Isaac is the winner of the Denise M. Patches Memorial Scholarship and the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Mathematics Scholarship. He plans to attend Bucknell University to study biomedical engineering.
Elly Bruner (4 awards) - Elly is the winner of the Elizabeth S. Henry Scholarship, the Lampeter-Strasburg Administrators’ Scholarship, the R.H. Holmberg Memorial Scholarship, and the Strasburg Borough Service Award. She plans to attend Grove City College to study elementary and middle education.
Madison McClune - Madison is the winner of the Ethel M. Speros Memorial Award. She plans to attend the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences to study nursing.
Lance Callithen - Lance is the winner of the Forever a Pioneer: Dr. Robert A. Frick Scholarship. He plans to attend Millersville University to study computer science.
Jason Long (3 awards) - Jason is the winner of a Frank A. Wint Memorial Scholarship, a Pequea Valley Sportsman Association Scholarship, and the Todd Garber L-S Baseball Award. He plans to attend Messiah University to study physical therapy.
Moriah Crutchfield - Moriah is the winner of the G.R. Mitchell Community Service Award. She plans to take a gap year after graduating.
Noah Berrios - Noah is the winner of the Garrett Graby Memorial Scholarship for Trade School. He plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study cabinetmaking and wood technology.
Tanner Emmerling - Tanner is the winner of the Garrett Graby Memorial Scholarship for Psychology. He plans to attend Harrisburg Area Community College to study psychology.
Kaitlyn Finn - Kaitlyn is the winner of the Garrett Graby Memorial Scholarship for Postsecondary Education. She plans to attend the University of South Florida to study health sciences.
Treson Spahr (2 awards) - Treson is the winner of a Gene Snyder Athletic Award and a Gene Snyder Memorial Award. He plans to attend Millersville University to study accounting and criminology.
Gracie Albright (2 awards) - Gracie is the winner of a Gene Snyder Memorial Award and the L-S Agriculture Department Excellency Award. She plans to attend the University of Central Florida to study biology.
Lana Dyer (6 awards) - Lana Dyer is the winner of a Gene Snyder Memorial Scholarship, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan, the Matthew R. Conrad Memorial Scholarship, the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Science Scholarship, and the Vocal Music Award. Lana plans to attend Gettysburg College to study music education.
Laura Leaman - Laura is the winner of a Gene Snyder Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee to study nursing.
Rachael Lee - Rachael is the winner of the Grimm Agriculture Award. She plans to attend Messiah University and is undecided about her course of study.
Maggie Swarr (5 awards) - Maggie is the winner of a Hall of Fame Award, a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan, the Lampeter-Strasburg PTO Scholarship, the Scott J. Kimmel Memorial Scholarship, and the Southern Lancaster County Chamber Scholarship. She plans to attend Belmont University to study architecture.
Luke Hines - Luke is the winner of a Hall of Fame Award. He plans to attend Shippensburg University to study business.
Alexis Rohrer (2 awards) - Alexis is the winner of the Henry and Mary Wentz Scholarship in Honor or Dr. Melvin Rosier and the Strasburg Lions Club Agricultural Award. She plans to spend a gap year at His Hill Bible School.
Jaiden Newton - Jaiden is the winner of the Ian H. Holmberg Scholarship. He plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study computer science.
Daniel Marcroft - Daniel is the winner of the J. Aldus Herr Memorial Scholarship. He plans to attend Marywood University to study architecture.
Nathan Koerner - Nathan is the winner of the JK Mechanical Scholarship. He plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study electrical technology.
Omar Salinas (2 awards) - Omar is the winner of the J.L.R. Perseverance Award and a Ryan “Whitey” Weitzel Award. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.
Zachary Labrecque - Zachary is the winner of the Janice Seldomridge Memorial Award. He plans to attend Auburn University to study finance.
Eleanor Newell - Eleanor is they winner of the Juliet Benson Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend Messiah University to study social work.
Braden Weese (2 awards) - Braden is the winner of a L-S Area Republican Committee Scholarship and the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 Social Studies Scholarship. He plans to attend Dickinson College to study political science and legal studies.
Grace Schonour - Grace is the winner of a a L-S Area Republican Committee Scholarship. She plans to attend Duquesne University to study nursing.
Marissa Puleo - Marissa is the winner of the Lampeter-Strasburg Area Women’s Club Geraldine Rapp Educational Scholarship. She plans to attend Elizabethtown College to study early childhood education.
Abigail Wolff (2 awards) - Abigail is the winner of the Lampeter-Strasburg Area Women’s Club Mom Strubel Award and a Willow Street Lions Club Health or Community Service Scholarship. She plans to attend Messiah University to study nursing.
Ally Raub - Ally is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship. She plans to attend Lock Haven University to study elementary education.
Makayla Jeandell - Makayla is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Association Scholarship. She plans to attend West Chester University to study middle grades education.
Sophia Fiorello (2 awards) - Sophia is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan and a Willow Street Lions Club Health or Community Service Scholarship. She plans to attend Cedarville University to study allied health.
Georgia Harnish - Georgia is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan. She plans to attend Bard College to study political science.
Harry Wolgemuth - Harry is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Education Foundation Loan. He plans to attend Penn State University and is undecided about his course of study.
Landon Rice - Landon is the winner of a Lampeter-Strasburg Youth Soccer Award. He plans to attend Cairn University to study finance.
Chase Barber (2 awards) - Chase is the winner of the Live for Today Lacrosse Scholarship and the Strasburg Elementary PTO Award. He plans to attend Penn State University to study architectural engineering
Myles McQueen - Myles is the winner of the Meredith Leigh Demko Diversity Scholarship. He plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study mechanical engineering.
Ashley Echternach - Ashley is the winner of the Millersville Auxiliary VFW Post 7294 Medical/Nursing Scholarship Award. She is undecided about her future plans.
Richard Gibson (2 awards) - Richard is the winner of the Rick Gieniec Memorial Award and the Outstanding Senior Award. He plans to attend the Lancaster County CTC to study commercial arts.
Ian Bender - Ian is the winner of a Pequea Valley Sportsman Association Scholarship. He plans to attend Elizabethtown College to study engineering.
Tristen Showers - Tristen is the winner of the Pioneer Strong Football Scholarship in Honor of Collin “Bear” Shank. He plans to attend Susquehanna University to study business.
Anthony Barone - Anthony is the winner of the Rae Ann Henry Memorial Scholarship. He plans to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio to study high-performance automotive technology.
Lucy Smucker - Lucy is the winner of the Ray Zeigler Memorial Scholarship Award. She plans to attend Messiah University to study studio art.
Peyton Harsh - Peyton is the winner of the Richard F. Lefever Memorial Award. He is undecided about his future plans.
Ethan Poley - Ethan is the winner of the Richard F. Lefever Social Studies Award. He plans to attend Penn State University to study history.
Sara Tobler (2 awards) - Sara is the winner of the Rotary Club of Lancaster South Ralph “Buzz” Coho Scholarship. She plans to attend Delaware Valley University to study conservation and wildlife management.
Benjamin Wert - Benjamin is the winner of the Ryan N. Smith Memorial Scholarship. He plans to attend Messiah University to study applied health science.
Shaniqua Boots - Shaniqua is the winner of a Ryan Whitey Weitzel Award. She plans to attend York College of Pennsylvania to study nursing.
Katelyn Ranck (3 awards) - Katelyn is the winner of an S. Dale High Scholarship, the Tobias Leaman Award, and the West Lampeter Fair Scholarship. She plans to attend Huntington University to study agribusiness.
Luke Brenneman - Luke is the winner of an S. Dale High Scholarship. He plans to attend Messiah University to study engineering.
Breigh Bauer (2 awards) - Breigh is the winner of a Strasburg Ambulance Community Fund Award and a Truist Economic Growth Grant STEM/STEAM Scholarship. She plans to attend West Chester University to study nursing.
Justin White - Justin is the winner of a Strasburg Ambulance Community Fund Award and a Truist Economic Growth Grant STEM/STEAM Scholarship. He plans to attend Lebanon Valley College to study physical therapy.
Caitlin Wennerholt - Caitlyn is the winner of the Strasburg I.O.O.F. Lodge 361 English Scholarship. She plans to attend Millersville University to study broadcasting and film.
Tanner Groff - Tanner is the winner of the Strasburg Lions Club Accounting Award. He plans to attend Messiah University to study accounting.
Hunter Hildenbrand - Hunter is the winner of the Strasburg Lions Club Business Award. He plans to attend Shippensburg University to study business management.
Jenna Hoover - Jenna is the winner of the Strasburg Police Law Enforcement Scholarship. She plans to attend Duquesne University to study political science.
Rocco Coates - Rocco is the winner of a Truist Economic Growth Grant STEM/STEAM Scholarship. He plans to attend Harrisburg Area Community College.
Vitalii Nebel (2 awards) - Vitalii is the winner of the Willoughby & Associates Future Leader Award and the Zimmerman’s Hardware Award. He is undecided about his future plans.
