Seniors Connect with Third Graders Through High School Heroes
Seniors made several visits to third-grade classrooms this year through the High School Heroes program.
The Class of 2025 High School Heroes
The High School Heroes program gives seniors the chance to connect with third graders to talk about life as a high school student, including the importance of making good choices. Three times during the 2024-2025 school year, seniors visited third-grade classrooms to share their experiences and future plans, discuss their activities both in and out of school, and answer questions. The goal of this program is to provide younger students with positive examples and demonstrate how the decisions they make now can help shape their future.
This program offers members of the Class of 2025 a chance to reflect on their lives and take on a leadership role. For third graders, it serves as an opportunity to hear from older students about their real-life challenges and goals. The High School Heroes program is a longstanding L-S tradition that helps build a sense of community and encourages students in both age groups to consider the kind of impact they can have on others.
