Martin Meylin Students Crown King & Queen at Valentine's Dance

Bennett Wehibe and Kiera Knapp are Martin Meylin Middle School's 2020 King and Queen of Hearts
Eighth graders Bennett Wehibe and Kiera Knapp were crowned King and Queen of Hearts at Martin Meylin Middle School's annual Valentine's Day dance on Friday, February 7. How they got there is the result of one of the school's sweetest traditions:
Each January, any eighth grader can nominate a fellow classmate as a candidate for King or Queen of Hearts. Nominations are based on kindness and helpfulness as well as school spirit and involvement in activities. The Martin Meylin student council counts nominations and announces the candidates. The week of the dance, the entire student body has a chance to vote for the students who they feel have the biggest hearts. The King and Queen are announced with fanfare at the dance.
Congratulations to Kiera, Bennett, and all of this year’s nominees!
