Software Approval

The continuing expansion of educational technology has resulted in teachers rapidly adopting a wide variety of online services. In response, the District wants to ensure responsible spending, consolidation of overlapping services, and protection of student data.

As members of the Access 4 Learning Student Data Privacy Consortium, we use a statewide privacy agreement for companies we work with or hope to work with in the future. When a company has an approved app and privacy agreement, we will publish signed documents to our Access 4 Learning portal. We recommend that teachers first check this portal before making requests. If a chosen app, service, or digital content is not on the approved list, teachers should submit a technology ticket to begin the approval process.

Any of the following ticket issues will start the process:

  • Install free software
  • Request for New Chrome Browser Extension Install
  • Request for New iOS or iPad App Install
  • Request for New Program Install
  • Request for New Software/Application Install
  • Request for New TV, Newline, or IFP App Install
  • Application - Request

Submit Ticket

After the ticket is submitted, the Technology Director and building principal will review the request before sending it to the Assistant Superintendent for approval. The app or service will then be published on the portal and made available for use.
