L-S High School Names Students of the Month
The first Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the Month of the 2020-2021 school year have been named. Congratulations to these three seniors and one sophomore for their achievements during the month of September.
Nasya is a senior and the daughter of Maddy Galarza and Matt Warfel of Lancaster. She manages the varsity football and girls basketball teams and is a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, National Honor Society, honor roll, 2020 Homecoming Court, and chorus. Nasya is active at her church as a food bank volunteer, worship team member, and youth group participant. She also works at the Strasburg Railroad and has a paid internship with ARRO Consulting, Inc. Nasya enjoys spending hiking, playing the piano, music, and spending time with friends and family. She plans to pursue a career in forensics.
Three teachers - Mrs. Rettew, Mrs. Kochel, and Mrs. Shockey - nominated Nasya. All three stated that she is a hardworking, dedicated student who is committed to doing well in school.
Robert Bennethum IV
Robert is a senior and the son of Robert and Jennifer Bennethum of Strasburg. He is a part of the L-S High School Heroes Program and the honor roll. Robert is an Eagle Scout with three Eagle Palms and a member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) national honor society, and also holds a black belt in tae kwon do. He enjoys biking, camping, and working on computers in his free time and plans to attend Penn State University to study software engineering.

Students of the Month
Crosby is a senior and the daughter of Andrew and Bridget Renninger of Willow Street. She is a member of the marching band, chorus, L-S Thespian Society, and National Honor Society. Outside of school, Crosby is a dancer (ballet, pointe, tap, and modern) and babysits for local families. She enjoys the outdoors, reading, hanging out with her dogs, and spending time with friends and family. Crosby hopes to become an elementary school teacher.

Dilyn is a sophomore and the son of Dylan and Amanda Condon of Lampeter. He is a member of the Garden Spot FFA chapter at L-S High School. Dylin enjoys running and hopes to pursue a career as an electrician after graduation.
"Dilyn is a great kid! He has this understated sense of humor, and is resolute with his work ethic. he does what is assigned, and has a pleasant, personable attitude."
