Safe2Say Something Anonymous Reporting System Launched

The Lampeter-Strasburg School District is committed to creating and sustaining a comprehensive, coordinated effort to improve the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and administrators. To that end we are participating in Safe2Say Something, Pennsylvania’s anonymous reporting system. Safe2Say Something is a result of Act 44 of 2018, which mandates that school communities should be taught to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves of others.
As mandated under Act 44, all L-S students, teachers, and administrators in grades 6-12 have been trained in the use of the Safe2Say Something system. Training included tips for recognizing the signs and signals of at-risk behaviors and promoted anonymous reporting by phone, website, and app. Tips will be reported to district staff. imminent threats will be sent to both the school and local law enforcement.
Please visit safe2sayPA.org for more information about this program to reduce school violence in Pennsylvania schools. Safe2Say Something was created in partnership with Sandy Hook Promise and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
