L-S High School Names May 2019 Students of the Month

Four seniors received recognition for their end of year achievements and were named the May 2019 Students of the Month:

Katlyn Miller

Katlyn is a 2019 graduate and the daughter of Jesse and Michelle Miller of Strasburg. At L-S High School, she was involved in the orchestra and pit orchestra, chorus, Pioneer Interact Club, and High School Heroes as well as the National Honor Society and the honor roll. Outside of school, Katlyn works at Corner Coffee Shop and volunteers in the community. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Katlyn is undecided on a future career but knows it will be something that involves serving others.

Collin Rimmer

Collin is a 2019 graduate and the son of Scott and Elizabeth Rimmer of Lancaster. He was a member of the Chess Club and Technology Committee and was an honors graduate from L-S High School. Collin has worked summers at Martin Meylin Middle School and enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, and talking to friends online. He plans to attend West Chester University to study chemistry.

Christine Fritz

Christine is a 2019 graduate and the daughter of Eric Fritz and Anita Reinert of Strasburg. In school she was active on the yearbook staff, stage crew, art club, marching band color guard, indoor color guard, concert choir, and the pop culture club. She was also the recipient of a VFW Young Artist award and a member of the honor roll. Christine volunteered at school events including musicals, concerts, and banquets and enjoys color guard, art (painting, jewelry making, and ceramics) hiking, and reading. She plans to attend Bloomsburg University to study psychology and aspires to work in art therapy.

Kalen Nerys

Kalen is a 2019 graduate and resides with Jillian Nerys of Strasburg. He was the recipient of two senior awards: a Ryan "Whitey" Weitzel Award and the JLR Perseverance Award and is planning to enter the workforce.
