Student Raffles Painting to Help Senior Pets

The artist at home and at school with his latest painting.
Senior pets have a powerful advocate in L-S student Aaron Freas. Aaron recently donated his fourth piece of art to the POH Fund, an organization that aims to help improve the quality of life for furry friends by educating pet owners.
For his latest work, Aaron recreated a photo of the canine Instagram star Abbie Girl of @abbiesurfs. He worked with aide Mrs. Andrea Mylin and L-S High School art teacher Mr. Scott Cantrell to complete a painting of Abbie riding the waves. Aaron’s piece is currently being raffled to raise money for the POH fund through the Animal Medical Center (AMC). Raffle tickets can be purchased at $5 each now through February 18 at livelikepoh.com.
Aaron previously donated other dog-themed artwork, a watercolor painting and two sculptures, to raise money for the POH Fund. This time around, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhl took notice and featured him in a #goodnewsruhles segment on the network.
We’re so proud of our artist-in-residence and his dedication to helping man’s best friend.
