Emmert and Leaman to Perform at State Music Festivals
Anne Leaman (orchestra) and Logan Emmert (chorus) have advanced to the All-State Festivals for the 2018-2019 school year.
Two Lampeter-Strasburg High School students have been selected to perform at Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Festivals this year. A place in a state ensemble is among the highest honors that a member of a high school music program can achieve.
Senior Logan Emmert was invited to the 2019 PMEA All-State Chorus Festival after placing in the top six in his section (Tenor 2) at the regional festival. Logan is a member of the school chorus and Madrigals and was recently seen in the lead role of Archibald Crane in the March 2019 performance of The Secret Garden.
Junior Anne Leaman was invited to the 2019 PMEA All-State Orchestra Festival for viola after successfully auditioning at the district festival. Anne has performed at county and district festivals throughout middle and high school. She is a member of the school orchestra, the chamber strings ensemble, and pit orchestra.
Both Logan and Anne will travel to Pittsburgh to take their places alongside the best student vocalists and musicians in the state at the PMEA 2019 All-State Choral and Band & Orchestra Festivals, which run from April 3-6, 2019. The festivals culminate with public concerts on Saturday, April 6.
