September/October Teachers of the Month: Barbara Beiler and Linda Kauffman

Principals’ secretary Linda Kauffman and guidance secretary Barbara Beiler are the first Martin Meylin Middle School Teachers of the Month for the 2019-2020 school year. They will be honored during both September and October, 2019. Martin Meylin Teachers of the Month are selected by the school’s faculty and staff.
“Mrs. Kauffman and Mrs. Beiler have a vast knowledge of what makes Martin Meylin tick,” explained Jamie Raum, Martin Meylin’s principal. “Their ability to look for and resolve conflicts within students’ schedules is always a big help.”
Kauffman and Beiler have run Martin Meylin’s office together for the last 15 years. Mrs. Kauffman started in 1992 and Mrs. Beiler joined her in 2004. Both secretaries live in the district, Kauffman in Willow Street and Beiler in Strasburg, and both have grown children who are L-S alumni. Kauffman’s grandchildren are current students.
The secretaries work together with receptionist Joy Minney, who joined the team during the 2018-2019 school year, to keep the Martin Meylin office running smoothly throughout the year.
