A Moment in Time: Portraits of Lancaster's Visual Artists

Meg Lau and Scott Cantrell's "A Moment in Time" portraits
High school art teachers Meg Lau and Scott Cantrell were among 85 local artists invited to sit for portraits as part of A Moment in Time: Portraits of Lancaster’s Visual Artists. The photographs were taken during Governor’s Arts Awards week at the Lancaster Museum of Art on October 26, 2017. The show, which ended recently, was created to honor the area’s artists. A description states “while many artists are only known for their work, these photographs reveal something uniquely essential about each person and offer insight into creators are often invisible.”
Mrs. Lau specializes in teaching clay and sculpture classes at Lampeter-Strasburg High School and has been a member of the art department since 1998. She recently completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Ceramic Arts from Hood College in Maryland. Her portfolio can be seen at meglauceramics.com
