October 2018 Teacher of the Month

Henry October 2018 MM ToM October 2018 Teacher of the Month

Library assistant Rae Ann Henry is the October 2018 Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Henry has been working at Martin Meylin since 2002 and has been her current position in the library since 2006. She works alongside Ms. Beth Henry, the Martin Meylin and L-S High School librarian, to provide middle school students with reading opportunities.

Mrs. Henry says she considers herself a “barista of books,” helping students find books to suit their personalities. Her favorite part of the job is watching reluctant readers blossom when given books that motivate them to read.

“It’s better than any paycheck,” she says.
