Pioneer Superlatives

Two seniors, a junior, and a sophomore have been recognized by L-S High School faculty for their achievements during the month of October.

Maya Horst

Maya is a senior and the daughter of Dawn and Steven Horst of Lancaster. She is the co-president of student council, the captain of the girls soccer team, and a member of the National Honor Society and distinguished honor roll. Maya is a silver Burrowes Scholar, receiving the award in both fifth grade and eleventh grade. She keeps busy outside of school by volunteering at Lancaster General Hospital, playing club soccer for Rage United, leading the fifth and sixth graders at the Worship Center, working at Old Navy, running, and spending time with family and friends. Maya plans to continue her education with the goal of obtaining a doctoral degree in physical therapy.

Jacob Visniski

Jacob is a senior and the son of Robyn and Robert Visniski of Lancaster. He is the president of the L-S High School STEM Club and a member of the distinguished honor roll. Outside of school, Jacob is active in youth group at St. Mary’s Church and enjoys running, computer programming, 3D printing, and spending time with his family. He plans to attend Penn State to study computer science.

Alexis Garrett

Alexis is a junior and the daughter of Kim and Joey Garrett of Willow Street. She is a member of the Pioneer Interact Club and honor roll as well as the varsity field hockey, lacrosse, and winter cheer teams. Alexis enjoys dance and plans to attend college to study business.

Fabiano Moscoso-Rodon

Fabiano Moscoso Rondon October 2018 SOM web Fabiano Moscoso-Rodon

Fabiano is a sophomore and the son of Marina Rondon of Lancaster. The honor roll student attends San Juan Bautista Church and enjoys spending time reading, traveling, music, and watching movies. He plans to attend college to study civil engineering and mechanical engineering.

Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the Month were publicly recognized at the November 5 meeting of the L-S Board of School Directors. Board member Audra Spahn presented this month's awards.
