High School Students of the Month

Ashley Crutcher
Pioneer Superlative

Ashley is a senior and the daughter of Mark and Rebecca Crutcher of Lancaster. Her activities at LSHS have included plays and musicals, Lampeter-Strasburg Thespian Society, WLSH, and LS News. Ashley is a member of the National Honor Society and a Commended Student in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. She performs in community theater at Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC) and other local theaters and works as a dance/voice student teacher. She is also a professional wedding and portrait photographer. Ashley plans to pursue a career in musical theater. We'll be watching for her name in lights on Broadway!
Grant Davis
Pioneer Superlative

Grant is a senior and the son of Leah Davis of Lancaster and Brent Davis of Gladwyne. He is the co-president of Pioneer Interact Club, the public relations director of National Honor Society, an honor roll student, and a member of student council. Grant won the title of the High School's 2017 Mr. Pioneer. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis and plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall.
Sarah Deardorff
Student of the Month

Sarah is a sophomore and the daughter of Benjamin and Amy Deardorff of Lancaster. She is a member of Pioneer Interact Club, the ski and snowboard club, and student council. Sarah has been an honor roll student throughout her freshman and sophomore years at LSHS. She volunteers as a leader at her church and enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach. Sarah is planning to pursue a career as a physician assistant.
Dylan Lechner
Student of the Month

Dylan is a freshman and the son of Pamela Lechner of Willow Street. He is active in the High School's FFA chapter. Dylan volunteers at Willow Valley Communities and plays rec league basketball at the Lampeter YMCA. His interests include light machinery, fishing, and basketball. Dylan plans to pursue a career as a mechanic.
Board Recognition

The students received commendation from the Board of School Directors at the May 1 meeting. Board member Jeffrey Mills presented the students with certificates.
