The Pioneer of the Year competition consists of three rounds: formalwear, beachwear, and interviews. A panel of L-S celebrity judges will evaluate the contestants based on pre-determined criteria. A combination of judges' scores and People's Votes ($1 votes purchased at school and during intermission) will be used to determine the 2018 Pioneer of the Year. The winner will receive a front row parking spot for his or her senior year, two 2019 prom and post-prom tickets, a 2018-2019 spirit pass for admission to district events, and a breakfast in homeroom. A portion of the People's Vote proceeds will be given to the winner's sponsoring club or organization.
