Congratulations to the members of the 2017 Homecoming Court! This year's king will be crowned at halftime of the October 12 Powderpuff game and the queen will be crowned at halftime of the October 13 football game. Both games begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $3 for Powderpuff and $5/adults and $3/students & seniors for Friday's game versus Elizabethtown.
Homecoming Queen Candidates
Emily is the daughter of Carsten and Jennifer Bishop of Lancaster. She is the senior class president and a member of National Honor Society, L-S Heroes Program, the Shakespeare Club (president), and the Pioneer Interact Club. Outside of school, Emily works as an assistant supervisor at Dutch Wonderland and at Aussie and the Fox. She will attend Millersville University and plans to become an English teacher.
Hannah is the daughter of Tod and Susan Dawson of Lampeter. She is a student tutor and a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, Future Nurses Club, and the tennis and lacrosse teams. Hannah plans to attend college and will major in nursing.
Hannah is the daughter of Todd and Diana Garber of Willow Street. She is the president of National Honor Society and a member of Varsity Club and the field hockey, girls basketball, and softball teams. Hannah also plays on the Spooky Nook 18U Gold travel softball team. She plans to attend the University of Delaware to play softball and major in mathematics.
Hailey is the daughter of Ron and Jessica Hildenbrand of Strasburg. She is a member of the Pioneer Interact Club and the co-captain of the volleyball team. Hailey works at Rutters, volunteers at the Water Street Rescue Mission, plays club volleyball, and attends LCBC. She will graduate at the end of the fall semester and plans to spend time traveling and pursuing a career in modeling. Hailey also hopes to obtain her pilot's license and work as a flight crew member for a commercial airline.
Natalie is the daughter of Steve and Tammy Ludwig of Lancaster. She is the president of the Future Nurses Club and a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, Ski and Snowboard Club, and Mini-THON, as well as a 2017 West Lampeter Fair Queen candidate. Natalie plays club field hockey and the violin and volunteers at local hospitals and medical facilities. She plans to attend nursing school after graduation.
Sydnie is the daughter of Jeff and Robin Smith of Lampeter. She is the vice president of National Honor Society and a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, Student Council, L-S Heroes Program, and the track and field team. Sydnie works at Lampeter Cafe, leads small groups for 5th and 6th graders at church, dances on a competitive team, and teaches dance. She plans to attend college to major in nursing and Spanish. She hopes to work in pediatric oncology and earn her masters degree.
Madison is the daughter of Steve and Kim Stabinger of Lancaster. She is a member of the Art Club, Ski and Snowboard Club, and the girls soccer team. Madison plays club soccer outside of school and plans to attend school to study art after graduation.
Cheyanne is the daughter of Fred and Lynette Waller of Lancaster. She is a member of National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, the L-S Heroes Program, the L-S Thespian Society, and was a 2017 Fair Queen candidate. Cheyanne is a Barbizon-signed actress and teaches dance class at her church. She plans to attend Duquesne University to study speech and language pathology with a goal of opening a firm to help actors with dialogue and accents.
Homecoming King Candidates
Isaac is the son of Pete and Kristina Beers of Lancaster. He is a member of the boys basketball team. Isaac attends Lancater Alliance Church, works at Skyzone trampoline park, and plays travel basketball for the Susquehanna Valley Wildcats. He plans to attend Lancaster Bible College to study health and physical education and play basketball.
Peyton is the son of Joe and Carrie Denlinger of Lancaster. He is a member of Varsity Club and the football and basketball teams. He plans to study sports management in college and play football at the collegiate level.
Andrew is the son of Jason and Amie Fink of Lampeter. He is a member of the Model United Nations and the golf and track and field teams. Andrew attends youth group at his church and works as a server at Willow Valley. He plans to attend college to earn a degree in criminal justice and then hopes to attend law school.
Dylan is the son of George Grae and Celina Grau, both of Lancaster. He is the vice president of the senior class and the senior class representative to the Lampeter-Strasburg Board of School Directors as well as a member of National Honor Society, the L-S Heroes Program, Ski and Snowboard Club, and the cross country, swim, and track and field teams. Dylan is an altar server at Sacred Heart Church, a Lancaster General student volunteer, and a People to People student ambassador. He plans to attend college and medical school to become a physician.
Steven is the son of Matthew and Kristen Greenwood of Lancaster. He is the Parliamentarian of National Honor Society, the Vice President of the L-S Thespian Society, and is on the leadership team for the Fellowship of Christian Students. He is also a member of the concert band, jazz band, and marching band, the full orchestra, concert choir, Madrigals, the fall play, spring musicals, the boys tennis team, the L-S Heroes Program, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. Steven has earned a place in both county and district chorus. He is a member of the youth group at Willow Street Mennonite Church, works at the Strasburg Railroad, and plans to major in music at Liberty University.
Cam is the son of Todd and Jennifer Niemeyer of Willow Street. He is the captain of the football team, co-president of the Ski and Snowboard Club, and a member of the basketball team and L-S Heroes Program. Outside of school, Cam volunteers at youth football and basketballs camps. He plans to attend college to play football and major in mathematics.
Kris is the son of Julie Pirozzi of Strasburg and the late Joseph V. Pirozzi. He is a member of the Pioneer Interact Club, Varsity Club, and the football and basketball teams. Kris plays travel baseball with the Lancaster Blackhawks and the Keystone State Bombers, volunteers at youth baseball camps, and enjoys spending time with friends. He will attend Millersville University on a baseball scholarship and plans to major in actuarial science.
Alexander is the son of Nick Williams and Lisa Salvato of Lancaster. He is the president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the L-S Swing Dance Club and a member of National Honor Society, concert choir, band, Pioneer Interact Club, L-S Thespian Society, Madrigals, and the boys tennis team. He also manages the girls volleyball and tennis teams. Alexander plays piano and percussion and composes music for vocalists, piano, choir, band, and orchestra. He plans to attend college to study computer engineering or electrical engineering.
