LSHS November Students of the Month
Four Lampeter-Strasburg High School students have been recognized for their achievements and named as November 2017 Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the Month.
Elizabeth is a senior and the daughter of Reuben and Christina Crumpler of Strasburg. She is active at school, playing flute/piccolo in the marching band, pit orchestra, concert band, and full orchestra, and is a member of National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, the High School Heroes program, and the track and field team. Elizabeth has been on the distinguished honor roll every semester in high school and was the recipient of a certificate of merit from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) for outstanding performance on the SAT. Outside of school she works in the gift shops at the Strasburg Railroad and enjoys reading, running, and drawing. Elizabeth plans to attend college to become a high school English teacher.
Sean is a senior and the son of David and Connie Burke of Willow Street. Sean is a member of the marching band, jazz band, concert band, chorus, spring musical, fall play, and the High School Heroes program. His interests include music, video games, hiking, biking, acting, singing, and marine science. Sean plans to attend Millersville University to study marine biology and German, including possible time abroad in Germany.
Lexus is a freshman and the daughter Bonnie Carrasquillo of Lancaster. She recently played a role in LSHS fundraising efforts for Peurto Rico after Hurricane Maria and is being recognized for her kindness and helpfulness. Outside of school, Lexi worked for several years at Field of Screams and enjoys freeplay basketball, writing songs, and rapping with her boyfriend and best friend. She is planning to pursue a career as a police dispatcher or crime scene investigator.
Ezekiel is a senior and the son of Anthony and Elisabeth Schaefer of Lancaster. He is a member of the football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams. Zeke is a member at St. Anthony’s Parish and he enjoys attending Phillies and Eagles games, fishing, and playing video games. He plans to attend Harrisburg Area Community College and Millersville University to study criminal justice and hopes to become a police detective.
