High School October and November Students of the Month

The students of the month are presented their certificates by Lampeter-Stasburg Board of School Directors member Mrs. Patricia Pontz. The students were recognized at the Board's December 4 meeting.
Elke Arnesen is a junior and the daughter of Mrs. Janine Arnesen-Nolt of Lancaster and Mr. Hans Arnesen of Newark, New Jersey. Elke is involved in several activities at LSHS. She is a member of the National Honor Society, marching band, orchestra, indoor color guard, and the environmental club. She is an active member of her church youth group at LCBC and serves in the technology booth during middle school Sunday church. Elke is currently the captain of the indoor color guard team, which made it to national finals last season. She enjoys hiking in the great outdoors, dancing, listening to music and spending time with friends. She plans to attend college to study either environmental science or environmental policy.
Arooba Raja is a freshman and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sunny Raja of Strasburg. She is a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg field hockey team and of the Asian Culture Club. Arooba was a member of the honor roll throughout middle school, where she was also a Student of the Month and was recognized in several subjects, including French and social studies. She is active at her mosque and helps her neighbors. Arooba enjoys drawing, painting, and traveling and hopes to sky dive and scuba dive in the future. She hopes to pursue a career as an architect and/or interior designer.
Shannon Fairchild is a senior and the son Mr. and Mrs. James Fairchild of Lancaster. Shannon is a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg football and track and field teams, as well as chorus, orchestra, and the spring musical cast. He is a member of National Honor Society and the FFA, for which he won national recognition this fall in the Ag Mechanics division. He is second chair bass in the county orchestra and was the starting center on this year’s Section II championship football team. Shannon is an employee at Village Greens miniature golf course and a member of the 4-H Rough Riders Horse & Pony Club. His interests include football, horses, working on cars, and weightlifting. Shannon plans to attend college to become a chemical or nuclear engineer or a chemist and eventually plans to return to the area to take over the golf course.
Paul Lasher is a freshman and the son of Mrs. Rebecca Lasher and Mr. Paul Lasher, both of Strasburg. Paul volunteers in school, at the Strasburg Presbyterian Church and with the Toys for Tots program. He enjoys playing sports video games, listening to music, and collecting sports cards. Paul plans to pursue a career as a video game designer after school.
Robin Feaster is a junior and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Feaster of Willow Street. Robin is a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg field hockey and softball teams, as well as the National Honor Society and the Asian Culture Club. She belongs to Grace Church at Willow Valley, where she attends youth group and volunteers in the children’s ministry. Robin is a two-year honorable mention field hockey LL League all-star and was the softball Rookie of the Year in 2014. She enjoys playing sports, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. Robin plans to attend college after graduation.
Brittany Hatfield is a junior and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Hatfield of Strasburg. She is a member of the L-S soccer and bowling teams and the Interact Club. Brittany has a part-time job and enjoys sports, animals, and camping. She plans to attend college to study zoology and would like to become a zookeeper or an animal trainer.
Chaz Wolf is a junior and the son Mrs. Heidi Rodriguez of Willow Street. Chaz is the junior class treasurer, president of the Philosophy Club, secretary of the Enigma art and literary magazine, and a member of the National Honor Society and Asian Culture Club. He serves as a team member at Willow Valley Communities. His hobbies are computers, microcontrollers, programming, and reverse engineering. Chaz’s career goal is to become a computer hardware engineer.
Damian Texidor is a freshman and the son of Ms. Monica Franco of Willow Street. Damian is planning to go out the L-S football team next year. He is a member of Funamials and the First Spanish Assembly of God Church. Damian enjoys working on cars and playing football. His career plan is to become a mechanical engineer.
