LSHS Students of the Month - January 2017

Four Lampeter-Strasburg High School students earned the titles of Pioneer Superlative and Student of the Month for their achievements in January 2017:

Sarah Goldberg

Sarah is a senior and the daughter of Melissa Pierce and Alan Goldberg of Lancaster. Sarah is the president of the LSHS Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) and a writer for LS News. She is a 2017 National Merit Scholar Commended Student and an honor roll student. Sarah enjoys spending time writing, reading, crocheting, doing research, drawing, rollerblading, listening to music, and painting. She plans to pursue a career in writing

Hayden Goldberg

Hayden Goldberg Jan 17 PS web Hayden Goldberg

Hayden is a junior and the son Melissa Pierce and Alan Goldberg of Lancaster. At LSHS, he is a member of the GSA and the Art Club, as well as the honor roll. Hayden enjoys drawing, painting, and collecting bones. He is undecided about plans after graduation.

Elizabeth Long

Elizabeth Long is a senior and the daughter of Joel and Melissa Long of Lancaster. She is a member of marching band and concert band and has participated in Aevidum, Future Nurses Club, Pioneer Interact Club, and the Garden Spot FFA. Elizabeth is an honor roll student and a district winner of the Skills USA Health Knowledge Bowl. Outside of school, she enjoys arts and crafts and spending time with friends. She is currently attending Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences to study nursing.

Travis 'TJ' McCauley

Travis McCauley Jan 17 SOM web Travis 'TJ' McCauley

Travis TJ McCauley is a junior and the son of Travis and Kathy McCauley of Willow Street. He has been an honor roll student and the recipient of several awards during his wrestling career. Travis boxes at Finefrock and Stumpfs Golden Gloves Center. He also enjoys fishing, skateboarding, and spending time outdoors. Travis’s career plans are undecided but he would like to own a business or work in engineering. He plans to enroll at the Lancaster Career & Technology Center next year to gain experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
