Wednesday, January 17, 2018, the Lampeter-Strasburg School District is is closed.
School is now in session on Friday, January 19, and will be closed for students on Monday, January 22, for an inservice day. HS final exams are now 1/18 and 1/19 with parent-approved early dismissal on Friday.
September 2016 Students of the Month
Lampeter-Strasburg High School
Four Lampeter-Strasburg High School students were selected by faculty members as September 2016 Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the Month. Pioneer Superlatives are Kathryn Sigafoos and Nathan Musser and Students of the Month are Enisha Sealey and Nathan Rosa.
Kathryn Sigafoos - Pioneer Superlative
Kathryn Sigafoos is a sophomore and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sigafoos of Lancaster. Kathryn is a member of student council, Pioneer Interact Club, and the pep rally committee. She has been on the distinguished honor roll every marking period and is the winner numerous awards, including Student of the Month, Presidential Youth Fitness, perfect attendance, and Spanish and Language Arts academic achievement. Kathryn is a competitive dancer on LEDC at Willow Street Dance Steps, a participant in youth group, and a summer volunteer at Willow Valley. In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys dancing, reading, running, and writing. She plans to pursue a career in science or language arts after graduation.
Nathan Musser - Pioneer Superlative
Nathan Musser is a senior and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Musser of Lancaster. At LSHS, Nathan’s activities include Pioneer Interact Club, yearbook, concert band, and Fellowship of Christian Students. He is a member of the distinguished honor roll and was recently named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Nathan spends time outside of school reading, writing, and moviemaking. He plans to pursue a career as a writer.
Enisha Sealey is a sophomore and the daughter of Ms. Aqueela Brown of Columbia. She is a Girls on the Run alumna and played in the school band for several years. Enisha likes to spend time with family and fondly remembers her grandmother’s block parties, at which the community would come together for meals and to play games. She also enjoys learning about history and biology, reading, cooking, and creating recipes. Enisha plans to follow her passion to be a chef so she can share her culinary creations with others.
Nathan Rosa is a senior and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rosa of Lancaster. Nathan is a member of the FFA, the marching band, and the concert band. His interests include astronomy, biking, gaming, and hiking. Nathan plans to join the military after graduation.
