School in Session Friday, January 19, 2018
School is now in session on Friday, January 19, and will be closed for students on Monday, January 22, for an inservice day. HS final exams are now 1/18 and 1/19 with parent-approved early dismissal on Friday.
High School Names December Students of the Month

Three students of the month are presented with their certificates by Lampeter-Strasburg Board of School Directors Vice President Mrs. Melissa Herr. The students were recognized at the Board's January 5 meeting.
Chelsea Hancock is a junior and the daughter of Ms. Wendy Hancock of Lancaster and Mr. Christopher Hancock of Kennett Square. Chelsea is a member of student council, the Interact Club, the ski and snowboard club (of which she is a member of the junior leadership team) and the track team. She is on the distinguished honor roll and is the Junior Representative to the Lampeter-Strasburg Board of School Directors. Chelsea has an internship at Lancaster General Hospital and works at the Levi’s store and seasonally at Village Greens Miniature Golf Course. She enjoys skiing and snowboarding, fitness, writing, and learning. Chelsea is planning a career in the medical field.
Tanner Martin is a senior and the son Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Martin of Lancaster. Tanner is involved in the High School Heroes program, the ski and snowboard club, and has been a member of the track team since seventh grade. He has been a Student of the Month in the past. Tanner is a member of the Lampeter Church of the Brethren youth group and works at Meck’s Produce. His interests are snowboarding, working on cars, astronomy, and spending time with friends. Tanner is planning for a career in science or engineering.
Nelena Ayala is a sophomore and the daughter of Ms. Shelly Walker of Lancaster. She enjoys drawing in her free time. Nelena plans to become a police officer after graduation.
Toren Campbell is a senior and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Campbell of Ronks. Toren is a member of the high school marching band, in which he’s earned a varsity letter. He is an active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and has been involved in the Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Program for more than 10 years. Toren enjoys reading - including reading aloud to young students, listening to country music, playing percussion in the band, and teaching sign language to others. After graduation, Toren plans to enjoy working and socializing in a setting where he can utilize his unique skills and attributes.
