School in Session Friday, January 19, 2018
School is now in session on Friday, January 19, and will be closed for students on Monday, January 22, for an inservice day. HS final exams are now 1/18 and 1/19 with parent-approved early dismissal on Friday.

Four Lampeter-Strasburg High School students have been selected as September 2014 Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the month.
Kelsey Nicole McNaul
Pioneer Superlative Kelsey Nicole McNaul is a senior and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McNaul of Lancaster. Kelsey is involved in a wide variety of activities at LSHS. She is President of the Do Something Club, Vice President of the Gay-Straight Alliance, the Varsity Volleyball team captain and a member of the Model United Nations, orchestra, outdoor club, the Heroes program, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. Kelsey was a fair queen candidate and is a member of the 2014 Homecoming Court. Kelsey is active outside of school in her youth group at Ascension Lutheran Church, is employed at American Eagle Outfitters, and plays on club volleyball teams. She has been on the distinguished honor roll throughout high school and is a two-time Burrowes Scholar and an AP Scholar. Kelsey enjoys volleyball, hiking, and hanging out with friends in her free time. She plans to attend college to major in environmental studies and to play/coach volleyball. Kelsey hopes to use her degree to help save the environment.
Andrew James Finley
Pioneer Superlative Andrew James Finley is a senior and the son Mr. and Mrs. Brian Finley of Lancaster. Andrew is a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg football team and of the Performing Arts Center tech crew. He has been a member of the distinguished honor roll or honor roll throughout high school. Andrew is active in student ministries at Calvary Church and is employed at Jimmy Johns Sandwich Shop. His interests include kayaking, videography, longboarding, traveling, and hiking. Andrew plans to attend college to study business and marketing and then to earn his MBA degree. His goal is to work in the marketing department of The Boeing Company.
Erin Elizabeth Moore
Student of the Month Erin Elizabeth Moore is a junior and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moore of Lancaster. She is a member of the Interact Club and the Pioneer Page Turners Book Club. Erin has volunteered at the Lancaster Kennel Club dog agility competition and enjoys reading, baking, and playing with her dog. Her career aspiration is to work with animals.
Kyle Jordan Snyder
Student of the Month Kyle Jordan Snyder is a senior and the son of Mrs. Stacy L Snyder Howarth and Mr. Warren Howarth of Strasburg. Kyle is an active students in the “buddies” program with L-S elementary schools, a member of the pop culture club, a work study participant, and a member of the honor roll. He is a member of the Strasburg Community Powerhouse Youth Center, and a Modified Dolls volunteer, Kyle enjoys drawing, reading, writing, and video games. He plans to attend college to study digital art and design.
The students also were invited to the October 6 meeting of the Lampeter-Strasburg Board of School Directors, at which they were publicly honored for their acheivements. We wish our September Students of the Month continued success for the rest of the school year.
